Who can enter

The PRWeek Awards are open to corporate communications and marketing communications teams, PR agencies, public affairs firms, IR agencies, publicists, nonprofits, PR educational professionals, and government PR teams, as well as solo practitioners. Outside contractors, vendors, and non-PR professionals may also enter certain categories where indicated. All Awards categories relate to work executed in the US by a US or Canada-based company or office. The only exception is the Global Campaign of the Year.

Eligibility period

Entries must be for work conducted between October 7, 2013, and October 3, 2014, unless otherwise specified. Some of the work must have occurred during this time, but it does not necessarily have to have been started or completed during the eligibility period.

Entry form

All entries must be submitted online. The entry form will vary for each category. Please refer to each category for specific information required. Basic information includes:

  • Category entered

  • Title of entry

  • Agency or company submitting the entry

  • Client name/suppliers

  • Budget*

  • Vendors involved in the campaign*

    *Budget is an essential consideration of the judging process. Failure to include a strong and honest indication of this could affect the score the judges give you.

    *This is mainly a factor for the Campaign categories and certain Technique categories, but it similarly is an important elemnt to include as it relates to judging considerations.

Support material

Similarly to last year, all support materials are to be submitted digitally. We've done away with binders and physical materials to streamline the process for entrants and judges.

Images (mandatory)

As part of your entry you must upload two key images as JPEG files. IMPORTANT: your key images are mandatory parts of your entry. Please note that failure to submit two key images or to comply with the instructions below will result in your entry not being submitted to the judging panel for evaluation. Your images must comply with the following:

- Color JPEG files
- We strongly encourage you to avoid submitting scanned images. If it is only possible to supply scanned images, they must be scanned to the higest possible resolution - a minimum of 300 DPI. Your two high-quality key images must illustrate your entry and can include related, relevant images of your campaign for your client's product, area of business, or the field in which they operate
- For the Personality of the Year Awards, Business Awards - In-House and Business Awards - Agency, pictures must be of people and teams. We recommend a professional photographer for the best results
- No press cuttings
- No logos
- The resolution must be 300 DPI and the size no less than 5" x 5". If the image is either landscape or portrait, the shorter side must be 5"
- Should your entry reach the shortlist stage, these images may be used for publication in PRWeek and will be used on-screen during the awards night presentation

Video (optional)

In addition to the mandatory single images, you may also submit video material to illustrate your entry. A video to support the Business Awards category is highly encouraged.

For the purpose of judging, video can be up to 90-seconds long, but must be uploaded in WMV (Windows Media) format and the file size should be no larger than 20MB. Judges may not be able to watch all of your video, so to be sure that all key facts supporting your entry are within the written submission as well.

- One PDF or JPEG document (max 20MB)
- One MP3 audio file (max 20MB)
- Up to three relevant Web or social media links

Multiple entries

A single entry can be submitted into a maximum of three categories, provided it matches the specific criteria stated within each category. You must uplaod separate support material for each entry.

Entry fees

The price of each primary entry submitted is $390.* You may choose to submit that same entry into a second or third category (which only applies to the Campaign Awards), for an additional fee of $230 per submission. For example, if you submit any one entry into three categories, the fee would be: $390 + $230 + $230 = $850.

*Entry fee for Business Awards-Agency (Boutique, Small, Midsize, and Large) is $440, and includes automatic entry for the Agency of the Year Award.


Late entries

Late entries will be received until Friday, October 10, 2014, 11:59pm EST. However, those entries received after October 3 will incur a penalty of $220 per entry.

Online entry submission

All entries must be submitted and paid online.You may enter your information in the entry form and save it to return at a later date. When you want to submit your entry please click the “Submit & Pay” button on the awards summary page and submit payment. Please ensure that your entry has been paid for in order for it to be considered for judging. Credit cards accepted include Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Once all entry information is prepared, visit to submit your entries.
